I’m a stationary addict. A lover of pens, paper and post it notes. A hoarder of many untouched notebooks and binders. So, as you can assume, my pencil case contains more than the average student could ever need. In fact, most students I know just throw a pen in their bag and somehow survive the semester just fine but as someone who cannot study without a long list of supplies, I thought it’d be a nice little feature to show you some things that I use on the daily.
The Pencil Case.
I love small pencil cases with multiple pockets. I’ve managed to gather quite a little collection of them over the years but my current pencil case is the Double Archer Pencil Case in Coral & Marble from Typo. It’s small and compact, hold everything I need and it’s super cute!
The First Pocket.
Pocket number one is the largest compartment and it mostly holds pens. I have an array of Staedtler Triplus Fineliners, which I mostly use for writing in my binder planner or calendar. As much as I love these pens, I just can’t write all of my notes in them because of the way I hold my pens, I find them super uncomfortable after about half a page. For my other writing needs, I use Pilot G2’s in 07 in both black and blue. I’m a massive fan of Gel Pens and whilst there are better available, for me, these are the most accessible as I’m able to buy them at my local Officeworks instead of having to order off of Jetpens or another international site. I also use a Pilot BPS-GP ballpoint pen in red to draw margins, a stray Kikki K Gel pen that I never really use but may one day come in handy, a BIC pink mechanical pencil for exams, a Faber-Castell eraser in pink and a really cool ruler from Maped that folds in half making it perfect for keeping in my pencil case.
The Second Pocket.
This is where I keep my highlighters. I currently have a set of six Stabilo Cool Swing highlighters but I’m hoping to switch them out to the Zebra Mildliners which I’ve just recently ordered from Jetpens. These highlighters are pretty standard but I do enjoy that they come in a wider variety of colours (when you buy a set) compared to a normal range of highlighters. They’re also quite compact, making it easy to carry around a set of them.
The Third Pocket.
This is probably my favourite pocket because it houses my beloved sticky notes. I use sticky notes for everything, from to-do lists and page markers to writing chapter outlines, drawing diagrams and marking important events in my weekly planner. I probably could do without all of them but I just freakin’ love sticky notes and I don’t want to get rid of them.
That’s everything I hoard in my pencil case! What’s the one thing you cannot live without in your pencil case? Let me know in the comments below!
