Some of us are organisational freaks, good with knowing what we have due and when, while some of us are more go with the flow people, attack the work when the due date approached. Either way, it’s important to know when an assessment is due so you don’t lose important marks by not submitting work on time!
Here are a few different methods of keeping track of your due dates:
All through high school, I used my school-issued planner to keep track of due dates and important events, a habit that I’ve followed through using in university and my personal life. In fact, the very first thing I do when I get syllabuses now is go straight to the due dates and add them to my planner. The best thing about planners is that there’s a million out there, so you’re bound to find one that matches your style and suits your needs!
Not everyone is as old-school like me and likes to carry around a chunky planner. I get it. That’s why online calendars are so awesome! I love Google Calendar, simply for it’s simplicity and the fact that I can download the app on my phone and have everything with me at all times but even the normal iPhone/Android phone calendar works better than nothing!
Okay, not everyone uses a wall calendar but I love them because I’m a visual person and having that reminder of what’s to come over the upcoming month is a great way for me to keep on track. I also use my colour code system (Pink for Developmental Psych, purple for Social Psych, blue for Abnormal Psych and green for Statistics) on my wall calendar for better visual clues!
There are so many amazing printables out there for helping you keep on top of due dates but my personal favourite would have to be The Organised Student on Tumblr! Holey Moley, are those printable beautiful!
