It’s March. How the heck are we in March already? We’re officially two months into the year and just like last month, I’m absolutely gobsmacked at how fast this year is passing us by.
It’s been a crazy busy couple of weeks, and as life goes, things are only about to get a whole lot busier. The first semester of 2017 has just started, I’m juggling looking for a part-time job, organising an internship and figuring out post-graduate things all at the same time. Add in trying to be healthier and exercising more and planning a 60th wedding anniversary party for my grandparents, busy seems a bit like an understatement. That’s why I’m getting my butt into gear and getting organised this month.
I’ve decided that a) juggling all of that stuff at once is going to drive me crazy and b) I need to change how I prioritize things. Previously, I would prioritize by what needed to be done first – which works fine for uni and school work, not so much for balancing life things. Instead, I need to prioritize my tasks and focus on what’s most important. For me, this month that’s the blog, uni and family. Everything else is secondary.
I’ve also decided I need to organise my time better. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d have seen me using printables from Living That Library Lifestyle on my story to organise the month of March. I am obsessed. While I love using my planner and using that to plan out my day-to-day, I also like having a yearly and monthly overview stuck to the wall next to my desk for easy viewing. I’m also loving the habit tracker, which I’m utilising this month to see how well I am at sticking to my healthy eating goals! (should mention that this is not a paid sponsorship or anything, I just love sharing what other people from the community create, especially when I genuinely love them!)
I’m also organising or attempting to, I should say, other aspects of my life as well. I’m budgeting and trying to save a bit more moola and I’m decluttering my life. I’ve already started by donating a bunch of clothes I don’t wear anymore, handed a whole heap of unused stationery to a local women’s shelter (both of which were part of my February Monthly Motivation!) and cleaned out my phone and computer of old photos, notes and documents that were just wasting space on my precious apple products.
In general, I think I’m hoping to come out of March feeling a little less stressed, a little more organised and a whole lot less busy!
Just like every other month of 2017 so far, I’m gonna ask you – this March, what’s motivating you?
